ICONSIAM: river fireworks
ICONSIAM’s “Amazing Thailand Countdown” is known for a long fireworks show over the Chao Phraya River, with drones in recent years. Riverbanks on both sides fill up early, so arrive by late afternoon for a good spot.
CentralWorld: the “Times Square of Asia”
The crossroads at Ratchaprasong turns into one huge street concert. Last year’s countdown drew more than 350,000 people. It’s loud and packed, and fun if you like crowds. Keep your phone and wallet zipped in front of you.
One Bangkok and Asiatique
Newer and riverside alternatives with smaller crowds than CentralWorld. Good if you want a show without being shoulder to shoulder.
Watch from the river
A dinner cruise on New Year’s Eve gives you fireworks from the water and no crowds. NYE cruises have special pricing and sell out early, so check availability as soon as dates open.
