Tomorrowland is coming to Asia for the first time, and it’s just a short flight from Malaysia. This guide covers what you need to plan the trip: dates, tickets, getting there from KL, the best areas to stay, and a packing list.
Tickets: are they still available?
The worldwide sale opened on 7 March 2026 and sold out very quickly. Reported prices were:
| Pass | Price (THB) | Approx. (MYR) |
|---|---|---|
| 1-Day | 5,100 | ~RM 650 |
| 1-Day VIP | 8,200 | ~RM 1,050 |
| 3-Day (Full Madness) | 12,500 | ~RM 1,600 |
| 3-Day VIP | 20,200 | ~RM 2,600 |
How to get there from Malaysia
1. Fly KL → Bangkok (BKK or DMK). Flights take about 2 hours. Book early: festival week prices climb fast. Not sure which airport you land at? See Bangkok airport to city.
2. Bangkok → Pattaya. Your options:
- Private transfer (easiest with a group and luggage, ~1.5–2 hours)
- Airport bus from BKK to Pattaya (cheapest)
- Grab/taxi (agree on a price or use the meter)
3. Pattaya → Wisdom Valley. Use the official festival shuttle if you bought it with your ticket, or arrange a Grab. Plan your ride home in advance: thousands of people leave at the same time.
Where to stay for Tomorrowland Thailand
Most festival-goers stay in Pattaya, which has the most hotels and nightlife and is about 30 minutes from the venue. Book early, because festival weekend rooms sell out and prices jump.
Best areas
- Central Pattaya / Beach Road: walkable, lots of food, easy Grab pickups.
- Jomtien: quieter and cheaper, good for groups.
- Near the venue (Chonburi side): shorter drive, but fewer hotels and less to do.

Festival weekend rooms sell out and prices jump. Compare Central Pattaya and Jomtien hotels and pick free cancellation if you can.

Money, SIM and other tips
- Cash: Bring some Thai baht for taxis and street food. Festival payments may be cashless, so check the official app.
- SIM/eSIM: Get a Thai eSIM before you fly so you’re online as soon as you land. You’ll need data for Grab, maps and the festival app.
- Visa: Malaysians can visit Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism. See our Thailand entry rules for Malaysians and submit your free TDAC arrival card before you travel.
- Travel insurance: Strongly recommended for a festival trip abroad.
Thailand travel eSIM
Activate before you fly and you're online the moment you land at BKK. No queue at airport SIM counters. Check that your phone supports eSIM.
